Recently, Plex made the unpopular and ill advised decision to start sending emails to all users with a summary of what they watched. In theory, it’s meant to help people discover new media – in practice, it can easily be seen as an invasion of privacy.
Here’s how to turn it off. Start by signing in at app.plex.tv. Click your profile pic in the top right, then click Account Settings.
Plex will take you to a separate site to update your email preferences. I don’t recommend unsubscribing from all, because you might miss extremely important messages. However, we will be disabling Email me a summary of my friends activity.
